eSamudaay aims to empower entrepreneurs with DIY digital tools and enable them to run Digital businesses, serving communities and sparking grassroots local innovations which could each grow outward through the spirit of win-win collaborations. As our contribution to these efforts, Studio Carbon designed a very unique brand identity for eSamudaay.
The phrase Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam consists of several words: “vasudhā”, the earth; “ēva” = indeed; and “kutumbakam”, family.
The original verse appears in Chapter 6 of Maha Upanishad VI.71-73. Also found in the Rig Veda, it is considered the most important moral value in Indian society. The sense of community is what grows societies and economies. It is integral to the philosophy of eSamudaay. We incorporated this in the logo and brand, showing interlocked shapes, and different colours coming together as one.
eSamudaay plans to reach every corner of India. While doing so, trust becomes a major factor. Having a sense of Local-ness to the brand makes it easier for locals of any place to trust a brand. Hence, local brand signatures are crucial to the brand identity of eSamudaay. These signatures will go on cardboard packaging boxes, and will be customized for each location.
